Fine lines and Wrinkles

Wrinkles develop naturally as part of the ageing journey. With time, the skin loses thickness, moisture, and elasticity, making it more fragile. Its ability to defend and renew itself also slows down, which results in the appearance of fine lines, creases, and other visible signs of ageing.

Everyday facial expressions also play an important role. Repeated actions like smiling, frowning, and squinting cause ongoing muscle movement, leading to dynamic wrinkles—lines that are only noticeable when the face is moving.

When these lines are not treated early, they can eventually become static wrinkles. This means they remain visible even when the face is relaxed and become more deeply ingrained in the skin over time.

How it Works

1

Consult With Our Skin Experts

Some of our Medical aesthetic treatments begin with a complimentary consultation, offered with no obligation. During this appointment, one of our experienced registered nurses will take the time to understand your concerns, explore your goals, and recommend a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to your skin.

2

Pre-Procedure Care Instructions

For optimal results, we recommend carefully following all pre-treatment instructions. Proper preparation helps reduce sensitivity, minimise potential risks, and ensure the best possible treatment outcome.

3

On the Day of Your Treatment

During your appointment, your clinician will discuss your concerns, confirm your personalised treatment plan, and ensure you feel confident and comfortable. This is an opportunity to ask questions, understand the procedure, and receive care tailored to your individual needs.

4

Post-Treatment Guidelines

After your treatment, it’s important to follow all recommended aftercare guidelines to support healing and achieve optimal results. Your clinician will provide personalised instructions to help minimise discomfort, reduce potential side effects, and support a smooth recovery.

Enhancing Your Appointment Experience

Discover a world of beauty with our advanced treatments. Experience personalised care designed to enhance your natural glow.

From smiling to frowning, and everything in between, facial muscles are responsible for allowing us to convey our emotions and communicate non-verbally with others. However, continuous muscle contractions over a period of time can contribute to permanent lines being etched in our skin.

Wrinkles form due to a combination of natural ageing and environmental factors, as well as repeated facial expressions over time.

Two different kinds of “wrinkle”

1. Dynamic Lines

These are lines that appear when the face is in motion.

2. Static Lines

These are permanent creases that are visible even when the facial muscles are at rest.

Frown lines

A frown is a facial expression that often indicates disapproval or displeasure. It can also be done subconsciously when one is concentrating. Over time, repeated frowning can naturally lead to static lines forming between your eyebrows.

Forehead lines

These are lines that stretch across the forehead when the eyebrows are lifted.

Crow’s feet

These lines often form on the outer corners of the eyes as a result of facial expressions like smiling or squinting. Over time, they can lead to static lines forming over the corner of the eyes.
