Cancellation & Refund Policy

Reservation fees

A $50 reservation fee secures every appointment and is credited to the cost of your visit. Some treatments may require a higher reservation fee, which will be stated at the time of booking.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule so that we can offer the time to someone else. With 24 hours' notice your reservation fee is refunded or transferred to your new appointment.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, same-day rescheduling and missed appointments forfeit the reservation fee.

Late arrival

Arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean we cannot complete your treatment safely in the remaining time and need to reschedule. The reservation fee may be forfeited.

Refunds

Refunds are not provided for change of mind, or for unused courses or membership entitlements. Where a treatment cannot be performed for clinical reasons identified at consultation, any pre-payment is refunded in full.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that services are provided with due care and skill.

Cosmetic tattooing perfecting sessions

Perfecting sessions should be completed within 6–8 weeks of the initial session. Sessions outside this window may be charged as a new appointment.

Members

Member treatments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, rescheduled on the day or missed are forfeited for that month.

Inner Circle Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Inclusions

An active membership provides each calendar month: one professional skin peel or facial; one LED light therapy session; $50 of clinic credit; 5% discount on retail skincare purchased in clinic; priority booking access.

2. Usage

Monthly treatments are valid within the relevant calendar month and do not roll over if unused. Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, rescheduled within 24 hours, or missed forfeit that month's entitlement. Skin Societe may decline or alter a treatment where clinically appropriate.

3. Credit

The $50 monthly credit accumulates while the membership is active. It is redeemable on skin treatments and skincare at the member's nominated clinic, is not redeemable for cash, and is not transferable to another person. Unused credit must be used within three months of the membership ending, after which it lapses.

4. Clinic

Membership is linked to the clinic of purchase. Requests to change home clinic are considered on a case-by-case basis.

5. Billing, pauses and cancellation

Fees are billed monthly in advance and continue until cancelled. Cancel by notifying your clinic in writing before your next billing date; no cancellation fee applies. Pauses for travel, illness or life events are available by arrangement with the clinic and should be requested before the next billing date.

6. Consumer rights

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are preserved. No refunds are provided for change of mind or unused monthly entitlements.

7. Results and liability

Individual results vary and no outcome is guaranteed. Liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law, other than for negligence or breach of statutory duty.

8. Changes and governing law

These terms may be varied with at least 30 days' written notice; continued membership constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.

Privacy Policy

Who we are

Skin Societe Pty Ltd operates skin and cosmetic clinics in Cottesloe, Karrinyup, Rockingham, Ellenbrook and Mandurah, Western Australia. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. A business that provides a health service does not get the small-business exemption, so the Act applies to us in full. You can reach our privacy contact at hello@skinsociete.com.au.

What we collect

Contact details, date of birth, health information relevant to your treatment (medical history, medications, allergies, consultation notes and clinical photographs), payment information, and website usage data. Health information is sensitive information under the Act: we collect it only with your consent and only as much as we need to treat you safely.

How we use it

To provide consultations and treatments, manage bookings and memberships, communicate with you about your care, meet our legal and professional obligations, and, only with your consent, send you updates about our services. You can opt out of marketing at any time. If you choose not to give us your name, mobile and email we cannot hold an appointment for you.

Where your booking goes, including overseas

Our appointment book is Phorest, supplied by Phorest Ltd of Ireland and hosted on servers in the United States. When you book through this website your name, mobile number, email address and appointment details are sent to and stored on those servers. Reservation fees are processed by Phorest's payment provider. That is an overseas disclosure, and by booking you agree to it. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, but we cannot control acts overseas to the same extent as we control our own.

Website analytics are provided by Vercel Inc. (United States). Analytics data is aggregated and does not include your clinical information.

We use the Meta advertising pixel so we can measure whether our advertising works. It records that a browser visited a page on this website and sends that to Meta Platforms, Inc. (United States) and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. We have switched off Meta’s automatic matching, so the pixel does not read your name, email address, mobile number or anything you type into a form on this site. It does record the address of the page you were on, and some page addresses on this site name a skin or cosmetic concern, so treat that as information you are sharing with Meta when you browse those pages. You can limit this in your Meta ad settings or by blocking the pixel in your browser, and it does not affect your ability to book or be treated.

Clinical photographs

Photographs taken for your clinical record are stored securely and are never used in marketing without your separate, written consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Skin assessment

The skin assessment on this website is a general guide, not a diagnosis. Your answers shape what the page shows you and are stored only in your own browser, they are not sent to us and are not added to your clinical record.

Disclosure

We share information with practitioners involved in your care, our booking, payment and IT providers under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Clinical records are kept for at least seven years from your last visit. Where the patient was under 18, the record is kept until they turn 25. After that, records are securely destroyed or de-identified. Marketing contact details are kept until you opt out.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to or correction of your information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing hello@skinsociete.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992).
