The two things that stop people booking are not knowing what a session actually does, and not knowing how long they will look red. Both are answered here, out loud, without a script.
How it works
A controlled injury, and a real repair.
Needling does not put anything into your skin that changes it. It prompts your skin to do what it already knows how to do, which is why the result builds over weeks and why it comes as a course.

Thousands of micro-channels
A sterile needling head passes over the skin at a depth your clinician sets for the area and the concern. It creates thousands of controlled micro-channels, far too small to see, through the top layers of the skin.

Your skin reads it as damage
That is the point. The channels trigger the same repair cascade the skin runs after any small injury: inflammation, then new collagen and elastin laid down through the dermis over the following weeks.

The rebuild happens after you leave
New collagen is built over four to six weeks, which is why sessions sit that far apart and why a course is designed as a series. One session starts it. Three or six build on what the last one laid down.

An infusion goes in while it is open
For a short window the channels let actives reach further than they would on intact skin. That is the whole reason for the booster or the targeted serum, and it is why it goes on during the treatment rather than after it.
The part people actually want to know
One to three days of looking flushed.
Day one
Warm, and red like mild sunburn. No makeup for 24 hours. Most people go home rather than back to the office.
Day two
The red has usually dropped to a flush. Makeup goes on from here, and most people are at work.
Day three
Back to normal for most, sometimes with a little dryness or fine flaking as the skin renews.
The week after
Gentle cleanser, hydrating serum and SPF 50. No actives, no exercise, no heat and no direct sun for 48 to 72 hours.
Why spring, specifically
A course of three runs 4 to 6 weeks apart, so it takes roughly nine to fifteen weeks end to end. Start in September and the last session lands before Christmas, with the rebuilding done in time for the events at the end of it.
The other half of it is the sun. Needled skin has to stay out of direct sun while it recovers, which is far easier to manage now than in January. If you are planning a beach holiday, tell your clinician and the course gets planned around it.

Questions
The ones we are actually asked.
- How long does the redness last?
- One to three days for most people. Day one looks like mild sunburn and feels warm. By day two it has usually settled to a flush that makeup covers, and by day three most people are back to normal. Deeper work for scarring sits at the longer end of that.
- Does it hurt?
- Most people describe a scratchy vibration rather than pain, and most do not need numbing at the depth we work at. If you would like it, we apply it the moment you arrive so it works while we prepare your skin.
- How many sessions will I need?
- Three is the usual course for texture, pores and fine lines. Scarring and stretch marks generally need six. Your clinician sets the number at your assessment, and a plan that starts at three can be extended.
- How far apart are the sessions?
- 4 to 6 weeks. That is how long the skin takes to build the new collagen from the last session, so going sooner does not make it work faster.
- What is a booster, and do I need one?
- An infusion put through the channels during the treatment. One suits skin that needs rebuilding, the other suits skin that needs feeding. You can have the needling without one. Your clinician confirms which, if either, suits your skin on the day, and you have one infusion a session rather than both.
- Who is it not suitable for?
- Active skin infection or acne in the area, cold sores, keloid scarring, bleeding disorders or blood thinners, uncontrolled diabetes, immune suppression, active eczema or psoriasis in the area, oral isotretinoin in the last six months, and pregnancy or breastfeeding. Also recent or planned sun exposure, and within two weeks of any injectable treatment. Suitability is confirmed at your assessment.
- Can I use my course at a different clinic?
- Yes. Same price at every clinic that offers it, and your course moves with you.
- How long is my course valid?
- 12 months from purchase. Courses are paid in full upfront and are not transferable to another person.
- What is the cancellation policy?
- A $50 reservation fee holds your appointment and comes off the treatment. It is refunded in full with 48 hours' notice, and forfeited on a late cancellation or a no-show.
